Frequently asked questions
My touchscreen has a scratch — replace the panel or the overlay?
Most POS touchscreens have a separate touch-sensitive overlay over the LCD. Surface scratches on the overlay alone are visible but don't affect touch operation — replace the overlay for cosmetic perfection. Scratches that have penetrated through to the LCD require LCD replacement.
Can I replace just the chassis on a POS terminal?
Yes — for many terminal families we stock just the metal chassis or base plate. Swapping out a bent or corroded chassis is straightforward: power down, remove all internal cabling, transfer the mainboard, PSU, drives and faceplate to the new chassis.
Where do I source replacement screws and small fasteners?
We don't typically sell individual screws, but most POS terminals use standard M3/M4 metric or 6-32 imperial machine screws. If you need a specific weird oversize fastener, send us the original — we can usually source.
Do you offer board-level repair services?
We focus on parts supply, but partner with several authorized board-level repair shops who service the Toshiba/IBM and NCR families. Contact us via the Quote form for a referral.
